“ I rarely walk on the north side of Christopher Street. This is a neat little concept with a decent selection of fresh hand rolls. Ordering six of them came at a fairly reasonable price (probably $26 all in?). Not exactly the peak of satisfying, filling food, but pretty good and more than a novelty. ”
“ Food was amazing! In total tasted the spicy salmon, volcano, and teriyaki chicken roll plus the spicy mayo sauce. I LOVED the spicy salmon and volcano roll. I 10/10 would recommend them to anyone. The teriyaki chicken roll was okay to me. I would not get it again, but I could understand why people would like it. It was a cute, tiny store with a couple tables to eat on outside. ”
“ Perfect spot to cure my cravings. I ordered the 3 rolls for $12 and got the spicy tuna, salmon and spicy shrimp. Everything was so good and light. Loved how the soy sauce came in a small plastic fish shaped bottle. This place is grab and go place. Store is small with only one table. ”
“ I really love this Australian hand roll place all the rolls they have are really tasty and you can get three for $12. My favorite are the miso eggplant and the spicy salmon. The service is extremely friendly all Australian and as for the ambience it's a small takeaway place, so great to grab on the good. ”
“ Quick, easy spot to grab a snack or dinner! The eggplant one isn't my favorite but I like the rest. ”
“ Realistically would rate closer to a 4.5, but rounding up due to overall experience and value! Sushi Counter is a cute, convenient spot to quickly grab a bite to go. There isn't any seating inside, but there are some smaller tables outside. I came at an off-peak time so didn't have a wait, and had a lovely conversation with the woman working there, who walked me through all the options in order to help me make a decision on which rolls to go with. As others have mentioned, they have a deal of 3 handrolls for $12. I opted for the spicy shrimp, spicy tuna, and salmon avocado. Of the 3, I'd say my favorite was the salmon avocado, followed by the tuna and then the shrimp. Decent quality/ratio of fish to rice ESPECIALLY for the price. If in the area and in need of a quick bite, I'd come back, though wouldn't necessarily go out of my way if not in the neighborhood! ”
“ convenient in every way. tbh, I was looking for a palette cleanser cuz I was doing a pizza crawl. Saw a couple eating the rolls and they pointed me to sushi counter. Grabbed a salmon to togo and it was simple and tasty! They give wasabi, soy sauce, and ginger. The perfect package for those on the go craving sushi! ”
“ We discovered this spot after seeing a video on TikTok, and we're so glad we did. They offer delicious, grab-and-go sushi, with a popular deal of 3 sushi rolls for $12. There are more than 8 different rolls to choose from. Although it's a small shop, the line moves fast, and the worker behind the counter was super friendly. Highly recommend checking it out! ”
“ I stopped by for a light snack. Each roll is $5, and if you buy 3, there is a $1 discount each. I opted for two rolls since I wasn't feeling too hungry. The options are very simple, and the ones that I tried were done very well. I would've liked it better if the rolls were made fresh, but they were still very good. The rice was a little bit hard and dry because it just stays out in the display case. It's hard to warm it up too because if they do, the shrimp loses it's crunch. The tempura shrimp was really good though. The batter was light, and the shrimp tasted fresh. I loved the mayo sauce that paired with it. The salmon avocado is a classic. I do question the safety of eating raw salmon that's been sitting out for who knows how long, but it tasted really good. I also didn't get sick after, so I think it's fine. It was soft, and the avocado was fresh. I really didn't need any soy sauce with either of the rolls. They do have packaged wasabi and ginger on the side too if you want it. Honestly a very good stop and go place if you're looking for something fast and simple. They do have seating if you want to stay, but it seems like most people take out. ”
“ These Aussie-style hand rolls are a must-try!!! I recommend ordering the spicy tuna, salmon & avocado, and tempura shrimp. I wondered what makes an Aussie-style hand roll differ from American style sushi. Personally I think it's the sauce and rice because when trying the tempura shrimp there was slight sweetness which differs from other tempura shrimp. I loved it and have been making few trips there. These are small notes for those who will try it as a first timer. I recommend coming early because a line will form before opening hours and sometimes they will briefly close to make another batch of hand rolls. Overall amazing spot that is a cute hole in the wall with two tables for outdoor seating and window seating inside. The owner is super kind and thankful to everyone who orders so show support for this spot ”
